Timber Post and Rail Fence

This is an example of a recently installed timber post and rail fence.  Although only 3 rail this fence installed for a local authority is very similar to the highways construction detail H3.  The posts are incised, and highways treated which may cost a little more than standard ‘treated’ timber but these will offer a much longer service life and durability.  We also much prefer the look of the weathered top post.
